A rare and unusual antique theatre ticket. Featuring on one side three figures representing Comedy, Tragedy and the Lyric Arts, and on the back the name of the original owner, Robert Shaw Junior.
This is a wonderful piece of social history. At the time, a person "owned" a seat at the theatre, and so paper tickets would not have been needed. This token was the ticket for a particular seat, regardless of the play being shown.
