Irish Silver maker’s marks – Anthony Lefebvre

We have recently come across a piece by a very rare maker- Anthony Lefebvre, who worked in Dublin in the 1730s. He was originally apprenticed to Mary Barrett, one of the few female silversmiths working at the time. (To read more about women and silversmithing, see HERE)
His maker’s mark was a very recognisable AL, with three stars above. It is pictured below. A piece by him would be considered quite a find, and a wonderful addition to any collection.
